A board for every project
Each board has a name and color of its own, with tags and favorites. When you save something, Quick Save suggests a board and ⌘1–9 sends it to one; whatever you haven’t decided yet waits in Inbox. The Sites view gathers everything that came from the same website.
Grid to browse. Canvas to think.
Switch views on each board. The grid is for browsing; the canvas is for composing. Place and resize images, add titles, text and notes to write down the direction, align with guides and zoom to everything or just a selection.
Collections that fill themselves
Save a text or color search, like everything with “serif” in it or everything in terracotta, and new references that match appear in it automatically.
Turn the board’s colors into code
Extract a palette from an image, a selection or a whole board. Edit the names, check WCAG contrast pairs and export it to CSS, Sass, Tailwind v3/v4, SwiftUI or JSON.
Share it as a PDF
Export a board to PDF with its images, titles, dates and source links. Copy or drag any image as PNG into Figma, Keynote or a message.
Feed it from anywhere
Screenshots, images copied in Figma or Slack, links with their cover, including YouTube, TikTok and Reels, and anything sent from the macOS Share menu. How Ambrel saves links.
Let your AI assistant see it, too
Share a board with Claude, Cursor or Codex through Ambrel’s local MCP server. Your assistant can view its images and read its text, sources and palette, including CSS variables, without being able to change anything. How MCP works.
